AmérAsia Film Festival

Event: AmérAsia Film Festival
Date: Thu. April 25, 2013 - Sun. May 5, 2013.
Location: Various Venues (various locations) - Montréal, QC

The AmérAsia Film Festival is organized by Ciné-Asie, a non-profit organization based in Montréal which has worked for more than 16 years in the promotion of Asian and Asian-Canadian culture and cinema. Ciné-Asie is led by founder Mi Jeong Lee, who served for over 13 years as one of the Asian Programming Directors for the Fantasia International Film Festival.

Montreal’s AmérAsia Film Festival showcases the work of independent filmmakers of Asian-Canadian heritage as well as Asian inspired films. The festival encourages the audience to be active in the media arts community and gives audiences a chance to see works that would usually be inaccessible, also allowing viewers to think about their own, and others, cultural heritage in a critical context.

The fourth edition of AmérAsia Film Festival will take place April 25, 2013 – May 5, 2013.

  1. I am doing a school project on publicity, PR and Social Media promotional use in Independent Films and short films and this would help me very much! Thank you. If anyone is looking for interns to work at the Film festival…please help me.
