The Korean Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto and the Korea Foundation are pleased to host the 2013 Korean Film Festival at TIFF Bell Lightbox on December 13-14, 2013.

Films include:

  • A Barefoot Dream (Dec 13, 7pm) - Based on the true story of Coach Kim Sin-Hwan, Kim Won-Kang (Park Hee-Soon) is a former soccer prospect whose life did not turn out quite as he had hoped.
  • Pacemaker (Dec 14, 2pm) - Once a promising marathon runner, Joo Man-Ho (Kim Myung-Min) was forced to give up his dreams because of a leg injury and the need to support his younger brother.
  • A Reason to Live (Dec 14, 4:50pm) - TV producer, Da-Hye (Song Hye-Gyo), is an ambitious individual who has lived through a miserable childhood. Aer finding her “prince charming” and becoming engaged, she loses her fiance, San-woo (Ki Tae-Young) from a hit and run accident.
  • Architecture 101 (Dec 14, 7:35pm) – Uhm Tae-Woong, plays the role of a 35-year old architect, Lee Seung-min who is approached by Yang Seo-yeon (Han Ga-In), his first love who he has not seen since his freshman year in college. Seo-Yeon now has a request. She wants to hire Seung-Min to rebuild her home on Jeju Island. Architecture 101 was Reel Asian’s closing night film in 2012
