Hot Docs 2014 Festival films and schedules were announced! From April 24 to May 4, the festival will feature 197 official selections from 43 countries. Note the new location of the festival box office: 2 Bloor Street West (Cumberland Terrace – Lower Level).

2014 IMAGES FESTIVAL
The Images Festival is currently offering a number of Internships that
provide valuable experience for those interested in events management and
film and new media. The Images Festival is run by a small core staff and we
proudly offer Interns the opportunity for meaningful participation and skill
sharing in the planning and execution of our annual spring film festival.
Interns will have the opportunity to:
- assist with promotion and marketing strategies to develop community
- learn theatre operations and box office management;
- coordinate and supervise volunteers;
- research and strengthen relationships with cultural communities;
- create social media campaigns

ReelWorld Film Festival celebrates its 14th season, presenting more than 30 films and videos by filmmakers from Canada and around the world. With an opening night in Markham, the festival continues from April 11th-13th. Here are our picks from the festival:
I had the pleasure of meeting LEO37 in the first year I got involved with Reel Asian as a volunteer on their Special Events Committee. Leo was one of the musician/artists performing at the Canadian Moviemakers Party that I was helping the festival organize. Since then, Saskatchewan-born Leo has settled in Taiwan, continued to tour across Asia and Canada and recently spearheaded Taiwan’s newest cultural hub #DYWM (Do You Want More?), which has resulted in an apparel collaboration with Taiwan’s leader in street couture, Remix. Hot Docs is North America’s hottest documentary film festival and returns for its 21st year from April 24 – May 4. In and around the office and theatres, the festival relies on countless volunteers to help the festival run smoothly. They are currently looking for volunteer production assistants, camera operators and editors to document special events and screenings – a great opportunity for film and video students to gain more experience.
