Thank you for your interest in the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival. Government funding only covers a portion of our operating costs; it is through donations from private funding that we are able to continue to present an annual program that exemplifies the range, diversity and richness of Asian film and video in all their forms. In showcasing the finest, in some instances underrepresented, work by and about Far East and Southeast Asian, Asian North American, and Asian diasporic artists and themes, the Festival aims to foster and enhance the visibility, creation, dissemination, and understanding of Asian and Asian Canadian contributions to the film and video arts, and to local, provincial, national, and transnational cultural communities. Community, education initiatives and professional development opportunities for Asian-Canadian filmmakers are also key to our festival mandate.

CanadaHelps.org is a not-for-profit charity portal that provides an online giving service to registered charities. When you make a donation to Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival via CanadaHelps, the festival receives 97% of the donation. CanadaHelps retains 3% to cover the cost, including the credit card fee charged to CanadaHelps by your financial institution. This method is less expensive than if Reel Asian was to process the transaction internally, so more of your donation goes to support the work of the festival.
